Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia - Bilguun Hurelbaatar was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of Ard Financial Group on September 7, 2023. He will manage the financial activities of Ard Financial Group at the group level, within its mission to build the Investor Nation.
Prior to this position, Bilguun served as the Chief Financial Officer of Ard Credit NBFI JSC. With over 10 years of experience in banking and finance, he has held management positions in both public and private sector, such as a consultant for the World Bank project implemented by the Ministry of Finance, Senior Referent at the Securities and Exchange Commission, and Anti-Money Laundering Office at the Financial Regulatory Commission and Chief Financial Officer at MunkhBumud LLC. Throughout his career he has specialized in budget planning, capital markets regulation, corporate financial management, and investment decision making.
Bilguun earned his Bachelor’s degree and later a Master’s degree in International Economic Theory from the School of Economics at the National University of Mongolia, and another Master’s degree in Financial Forecasting and Investing from the Adam Smith Business School of the University of Glasgow by a Chevening scholarship from the British Government. He further honed his skills by participating in about 30 short-term courses in economics, finance and investment organized by the University of Virginia, the International Monetary Fund, the United Nations, the London Business University, Imperial College London, Azerbaijan’s Hazara University, House of Training, and Bloomberg.
