Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, 13 February, 2021 - At a meeting held on 10 Feb, 2021, the Board of Directors of Ard Insurance JSC (MSE: AIC) resolved to approve the distribution of MNT 1.0 billion or 48.15 percent of the net profit of the year 2020 as a dividend to its shareholders. A payment of MNT 40 per share will be allocated via Central Securities Depository accounts by June 30, 2021.
Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the company reached a historic achievement in 2020, earning a gross written premium of MNT 15.8 billion for the first time. We paid out MNT 4.7 billion in loss claims. The company’s net profit reached MNT 2.1 billion, resulting in a substantial increase in shareholders’ equity. On 11 Feb, 2021, Ard Insurance (MSE: AIC) stock price hit MNT 940.00 and closed at MNT 928.056, reflecting investors’ confidence in the Company.
Ard Insurance, a subsidiary of Ard Financial Group JSC (MSE: AARD) has managed to pay dividends for the last 5 consecutive years. The dividend per share has risen from last year’s MNT 34 to MNT 40.
